Floods also flowed back up the Snake and Clearwater rivers to Kamiah. Missoula Flood slack-water deposits cover Lake Bonneville deposits in the Lewiston area. The Wisconsin glaciation extended from approximat to 11, years ago, between the Sangamonian Stage (known globally as the Eemian stage) and the current interglacial, the Holocene. The maximum ice extent occurred approximat–21, years ago during the last glacial maximum, also known as the Late Wisconsin in North America.
